Ladyhawke provided a 'cool' alternative to the blazing sunshine being enjoyed across V Festival's Chelmsford site this afternoon (August 23).

With temperatures soaring all day, New Zealander Pip Brown and her band enjoyed a big crowd on The Arena stage as the large tent provided respite from the sun.

Playing a set drawn from her debut album, plus B-side 'Danny And Jenny', Brown and co made sure the crowd didn't relax too much though, getting the audience dancing along to the '80s-tinged synths on the likes of 'Back Of The Van and 'Dusk 'Til Dawn'.

After a false start on 'Paris Is Burning', which left Brown in fits of giggles, Ladyhawke wrapped up their V Festival appearance with the former single 'My Delirium'.

Ladyhawke played:

'Magic'
'Professional Suicide'
'Dusk 'Til Dawn'
'Love Don't Live Here Anymore'
'Danny And Jenny'
'Back Of The Van'
'Paris Is Burning'
'My Delirium'
