Ladyhawke, Bombay Bicycle Club and New Young Pony Club played a gig last night (August 26) at the Relentless Garage venue in London for Cancer Research UK's Skindividual campaign.

The gig was free to enter – with entry granted to one competition winner who garnered the largest guest list online for the show and their guests. The honour was claimed by Kate McGill, who won entry to the gig for her and her friends.

Bombay Bicycle Club started the event at 8pm (BST) opening with 'Evening/Morning?'. Frontman Jack Steadman greeted the crowd then played 'Open House', with the band showcasing songs mainly from their debut album, 'I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose'. They ended their set with 'Cancel on Me'.

Steadman asked the crowd to "remember to stay Skindividual" – referencing the skin cancer campaign.

With frontwoman Tahita Bulmer sporting a platinum blonde hairdo, New Young Pony Club took the stage later and powered through 'The Get Go'. Although fresh from the studio recording a new album the band focused on old favourites including 'Ice Cream' and 'The Bomb'. Bulmer dedicated songs to VV Brown and Pixie Lott.

Headliner Ladyhawke took to the stage at 10:30pm, kicking off with 'Magic'. She played a quickfire performance with the singer/guitarist, real name Pip Brown, sighing near the end of the set: "We've only got a few more songs left to play". She ended the set with 'My Delirium'.
