Lana Del Rey to make US TV debut on Saturday Night Live

The comedy show will be hosted by Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe

Lana Del Rey is set to make her Stateside television debut next month, performing on long-running US sketch show Saturday Night Live.

The ‘Born To Die’ singer will appear as the comedy show’s musical act on January 14, 2012. The programme will be hosted by Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

The singer has already appeared on UK TV, performing her debut single ‘Video Games’ on Later… with Jools Holland earlier this year.

Lana Del Rey will play alongside The Maccabees at the MTV Brand New For 2012 shows at London’s KOKO venue on January 24.

The video for ‘Born To Die’, recently leaked online, showing the singer songwriter topless in the arms of a man in front of the Stars and Stripes flag of the United States of America. The video then cuts to the singer in a white gown and floral headdress, sitting in a throne in an ornate hall and flanked by two tigers.

The video ends in front of a flaming backdrop, with the same tattooed man holding what appears to be Del Rey’s blood splattered corpse in front of a burning background. Scroll down to watch the video.
