Earlier this week, Fame Academy winner David Sneddon refuted claims that Del Rey was a "manufactured" artist. Sneddon, who co-wrote the track 'National Anthem' for the singer, insisted that the lyrics were "incredibly personal to her" and said he'd like to work with her again.

Del Rey also recently announced plans to re-release her original debut album, which was officially released in 2010 under her real name, Lizzie Grant.
