Lana Del Rey performed her 2011 single 'Video Games' on American Idol last night (March 22). Scroll down to watch her appearance.

The prerecorded performance saw Del Rey singing in front of screens showing the single's DIY video and she was backed by a piano and a string section. In contrast to the extremely negative reaction she received when she made her live US TV debut earlier this year on Saturday Night Live, the crowd cheered enthusiastically at the end of the song.

Lana Del Rey has just been added to the bill for this year's Latitude Festival. The event takes place on July 12–15 in Suffolk's Henham Park and will be headlined by Elbow, Paul Weller and Bon Iver.

Latitude Festival is the singer's third festival confirmation of the summer after she was previously announced for Isle Of Wight Festival and Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hackney.

Lana Del Rey also unveiled her video for her new single 'Blue Jeans' earlier this week. The black and white video features Del Rey in a swimsuit playing in a pool with actor Bradley Soileau, the same actor who co-starred in her video for 'Born To Die'.

The promo for 'Blue Jeans' has been directed by Yoann Lemoine and serves as a prequel for the 'Born To Die' promo, showing the early, happy days of a relationship. You can see a still of Del Rey and Soileau in the video above.
