Lana Del Rey was at Anfield yesterday (March 10) to see Liverpool defeat Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League match.

The singer, who released her debut album 'Born To Die' in 2012, made an appearance on Merseyside to watch the team win 3-2 in a game which continues Liverpool's impressive run of recent form. Speaking to the official Liverpool FC website, Del Rey revealed that she was accompanying her manager for the day. "I was introduced to Liverpool FC by my manager, Ben, whose mood is dependent on the Liverpool results," she said. Adding: "I love watching Luis Suárez play."

Luis Suárez is Liverpool's top scorer this season, with 22 goals to his name. The Uruguayan striker scored one and won a penalty as the team secured a hard fought win over a high-flying Spurs side.

Talking about her affiliation to the red half of Merseyside, Del Rey continued: "It's actually my second time in Liverpool but my first time at Anfield. The people in Liverpool are so friendly and the stadium's really impressive. Liverpool are my team but I also support Celtic in Scotland, who are my boyfriend Barrie's team."

Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey recently revealed that her forthcoming second album will be a more "spiritual" affair. The 'Video Games' singer, who now lives in the UK, has been writing songs for the follow-up to her 2012 debut in Santa Monica, and has said she now knows what her new record will sound like: stripped down but still cinematic and dark.
