Lana Del Rey reveals new song 'Once Upon A Dream' – listen

Singer records theme song from the soundtrack to new Disney film 'Maleficient'

Lana Del Rey has revealed new song 'Once Upon A Dream', the theme song from the soundtrack to the new Disney film Maleficient.

Maleficient is a new take on Sleeping Beauty, telling the story from the perspective of the villain. The film stars Angelina Jolie and will be released in cinemas in the UK on May 30. The song can be heard above and downloaded for free via Google Play.

Del Rey also contributed a song to the soundtrack of The Great Gatsby and was reported to have become the victim of a smear campaign after a fake letter circulated, claiming she had been disqualified from the Oscars' Best Original Song Category.

Late last year Del Rey announced that her second album will be titled 'Ultraviolence'. The singer revealed the name during a launch event for her new short film Tropico, a 30-minute-long piece starring Lana Del Rey alongside model and actor Shaun Ross.

Talking onstage at a screening of Tropico at Hollywood's Cinerama Dome, Del Rey told fans who had gathered to watch the film: "I really just wanted us all to be together so I could visually close the chapter before I release my new album, 'Ultraviolence'."
