Lana Del Rey unveils black and white 'West Coast' video – watch

The track is the first to be taken from her forthcoming 'Ultraviolence' album

Lana Del Rey has unveiled the video for the first single from her new album 'West Coast' – watch it above.

The moody, black and white promo, was directed by Chris Sweeney and Sophie Muller.

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach recently admitted that he to "bumped heads" with Lana Del Rey when he produced her forthcoming new album, 'Ultraviolence'.

Speaking about making the album, Auerbach said although things were not always easy, the whole album was recorded in just a fortnight. "We were only scheduled to do three days, and then she stretched it out to two weeks and we finished a whole record. She's the real deal," he said.

"She impressed me every day," he added. "There were moments when she was fighting me. I could sense that maybe she didn't want to have anybody think she wasn't in control because I'm sure it's really hard to be a woman in the music business. So we bumped heads a little bit, but at the end of the day we were dancing to the songs."

Both Lana Del Rey and The Black Keys will perform at this year's Glastonbury festival while Del Rey is also set to play a slew of US tour dates in May and June following her recent performance at Coachella, where she first debuted 'West Coast' in full.
