Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festival star faces race to be fit in time
A guitarist suffers shoulder injury
Larrikin Love guitarist Micko Larkin is facing a race against time to be fit for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend (August 25-27) after fracturing and dislocating his shoulder.
The band is due to play the Carling Stage in Leeds on Friday (25) and Reading on Sunday (27). The Rev Ben Hammer from punk cabaret duo Airhammer is on standby to fill in should Larkin not make it.
The accident happened when Larkin slipped while paddling in a shallow stream at the Secret Garden Party Festival last weekend.
It's currently in the balance as to whether he will have recovered in
time for the weekend. He is currently undergoing intensive physiotherapy and had his shoulder popped back into place in the hope he will recover in time.
