Late Of The Pier and DJ Pete Tong helped create a rave atmosphere in La Zona Rosa at South By Southwest this evening (March 18), playing high-energy sets on the first night of the annual Austin bash.

Tong warmed up the large crowd by playing high-tempo dance classics including Fatboy Slim’s ’The Rockafeller Skank’, before the new rave band took the stage at 10.40pm (CST).

Late Of The Pier kept the energy up playing hits including 'Bathroom Gurgle' and 'Space And The Woods'.

The set was given a dramatic effect by frontman Sam Eastgate's shadow being cast large on the venue wall while he played, while his band mates jiggle-danced enthusiastically for the duration of the set.
