Laura Marling's BBC Radio 2 session airs tonight (September 22) at 8pm.

Performing in front of a 100-strong audience with her band, the singer/songwriter played a collection of songs from her new album, 'A Creature I Don't Know' for the show presented by Jo Whiley.

The show will mark the first Radio 2 concert for the twice Mercury Prize-nominated artist.

Joining Laura Marling and Jo Whiley on tonight's show will be Michael Kiwanuka. For more information visit BBC.co.uk.

Before embarking on a North American and Canadian tour Marling visited the BBC and, as well as performing for the Jo Whiley show, she spoke to Front Row about her songwriting influences and the effect of literature on her songs.

She also performed 'Salinas' from the new album. You can listen to the interview and her live solo rendition here.

Laura Marling recently announced a Cathedral tour of the UK to take place in October. Among many others, cities on the tour include Norwich, Guildford and York.

'A Creature I Don't Know' is available now. You can read our review here.
