Will LCD Soundsystem top the Billboard charts?

James Murphy's is campaigning to get to the top
Midweek sales of LCD Soundsystem’s second album 'Sound Of Silver’ suggests that it is very unlikely the album will top the US Billboard charts.
As previously reported frontman James Murphy urged fans to buy copies of the album in its first week, suggesting that if everyone who bought the first LCD Soundsystem LP (released in 2005) bought the second it would sell more than the soundtrack to the Beyonce film ’Dreamgirls’- Billboard’s Number One album at the time.
However, online midweeks sales suggest the album might not even scrape the Top Ten.
It cites the fact that on the midweek Amazon chart it is at Number 17, on the iTunes chart it is at Number Nine, on Barnes and Noble it is at Number 26 and InSound it is at Number Five.
However, some readers who left comments on the Idolator website suggested record stores could not accommodate demand for the album and they had sold out of copies too quickly.
