Led Zeppelin reunion: queue grows ahead of legends' return
Led Zeppelin are set to reunite tonight (December 10) at the O2 Arena in London – and fans have been queuing since Saturday (8) to get the perfect slot in the venue.

The band do not go onstage until 9pm (GMT) tonight, but so anxious are some who managed to get tickets for the band’s first public gig in 19 years they have been camping outside the venue.

NME.COM has been down to the O2 this morning and found the queue of people braving the elements growing by the hour.

“We came from New York,” Lance Defray, 51, told us. “I missed them the first time round. Will it be worth it? Yeah man, it's the Zep!"

With over a million people entering the ballot to get tickets, there is a distinctly international element to the queue.

"We got a coach down from Germany and some people flew in this morning,” said 42 year-old Stephen Paffgen. “Some of the people don't even have tickets yet. I got mine off eBay. I hope they don't play any new songs, I just want to hear the hits"

While there are lot of old fans of the band, the queue is also full of people who would have been too young to have seen Led Zeppelin first time around.

"I came from Birmingham last night and stayed in a travel lodge,” Hayley Austin, 17, told us. “I applied in the first lot of ballots. When I got the call I was screaming down the phone! Its going to be the best night ever!"

Jake Tomks, 19, is equally keen for his first glimpse of the legends in action.

"We’ve come down from Southampton. It took us about two days to actually get on the site!” he said. “We are standing and whatever they play its going to be brilliant.”

"I was shocked when they chose me,” added Howard Moore, 31, “I hope Robert Plant can reach all the high notes and Jimmy Page’s fingers don't fall off!"
