Led Zeppelin finally agree to tour?

Reports state that the band - with Robert Plant in tow - will hit the road next year

Led Zeppelin are planning a full tour for next summer, with singer Robert Plant set to rejoin the band, according to reports in The Sun today (September 26).

Despite their massively-successful reunion gig at London's O2 Arena last winter, the band have so far declined to confirm whether they will plan any more shows together.

Initially, it was believed that singer Plant was against a full tour with the band.

However, today's report claims that Plant is now ready to join guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham in rehearsals for a tour set to start next summer.

An unnamed source told the newspaper: "He [Plant] realised he couldn't face the thought of not being involved. The band were over the moon when he told them the news."

If Led Zep can reunite and tour, then Ian Brown and John Squire need to get over themselves and get the Roses back together.

As much as I would go and see Led Zep and the bands listed above if they were, I can't help but think these re-unions are damaging the legacy and legendary status which these bands manage to preserve. I don't they should do it.

Gods, absolute gods, tbh I don't see why Robert Plant wouldn't want to, it's better than touring a shite country album with some random unknown woman.

This will never happen. And I hope it doesn't. I didn't get to see the O2 show, and I don't doubt it was great, but they should leave this in the past and not shat all over their legacy by doing something less than amazing.

It's all about the money...I thought Robert Plant was smarter. He actually still has a career, why revisit the past? Oh right; the money...

what's with all the gush?srsly.i mean, anyone who has seen clips from the o2 show know it was bollocks... musically, they're still spot on - but plant CANNOT sing the tunes anymore... it sounds broken, it's cabaret, it's a pub-rock covers band and it's all about the money...*cue round of condescending applause for dear robert*

why is it that the sun always say things that have an unannounced source that almost always fail to be true?? Would be nice, but it sounds like a load of crap tbh.

I love Led Zep and have all their albums. No way I would go and see them now though. Jon Bonham was the essence of the band and irreplacable. Music is not for Grandads!

'....anyone else think LZ are just a little overrated?'Yep, definately. Not as much as the Beatles though. Difference is, LZ are immensely good, not as good as sometimes they are said to be, but still amazing. Definately the most talented of all time anyway though. Beatles are just shit
