Jason Bonham: 'You can never say never about Led Zeppelin playing more live shows'

But drummer plays down the chance of the band reuniting for the Olympics opening ceremony

Jason Bonham, son of former Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, has said that you can "never say never" about Led Zeppelin playing more live dates, but that nothing is planned at the moment.

The sticksman played in his father's place when the band reunited for a one-off show in 2007 at London's O2 Arena and expressed his hope that the band would tour, but has said that there are currently no plans for any more shows and that the band are not in contention to play the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games next summer as they were rumoured to be.

He told The Sun: "I haven't spoken to Robert [Plant] for about six months but he is really enjoying himself. For me you can never say never. If you ask me today is it going to happen immediately, well no, there is no talk of it."

Bonham continued: "But if you said to me in 2007 I would play with Led Zeppelin in December that year I would say you're nuts, so you never know."

The drummer is currently touring and recording as part of rock band Black Country Communion.
