Lee Hazlewood tribute gig details announced
Night of cover versions and films to take place in London
A tribute gig for Lee Hazlewood, the legendary songwriter who died in August, will be held on Monday (October 29) at The Social in central London.
The night will feature live performances from artists including Dot Allison, Strange Idols and The Tambourines and several 'special guests' will play a selection of Hazlewood’s songs.
A video recording taken at Hazlewood’s 78th birthday party, three weeks before he passed away, will be shown and, to keep the mood light, special Lee Hazlewood tribute moustaches will be available.
The gig is free, but attendees are invited to make a donation on the night to raise money for the Globe, Arizona branch of the Salvation Army – a charity Hazlewood actively supported.
