Ex-[a]Prodigy[/a] dancer Leeroy teams up with the reggae legend for his debut solo release...

Ex-Prodigy dancer LEEROY THORNHILL releases his debut solo release 'THE TWISTED EP' under his new moniker FLIGHTCRANK on June 12 through COPASETIK.

The four track EP features the production skills of reggae legend Lee 'Scratch' Perry who invited Leeroy to his own studio in Switzerland where they worked on a remix of the title track. The rest of the EP was recorded at Leeroy's home studio in Essex.

The dub reggae-influenced release also features vocals from Diane Charlemaine who sang on Goldie's 1994 single 'Inner City Life'. She provides the vocals on a track titled 'Drifter'.

The full tracklisting of the EP is: 'Twisted', 'Twisted (Lee Scratch Perry Mix)', 'Drifter' and 'Master Plan'.

Following the release of the EP, Flightcrank will release a single with a full album to follow in late summer. Live dates are being mooted, but none are scheduled at present.

Leeroy's also been working on remixes for singer David Gray as well as work for Masta Ace & Runaways for the Ultimate Dilemma label.
