LENNY COMES TO THE KABARET! Lenny Kravitz Tickets

We can bring you all the details on the eagerly-awaited 'Lenny'...

LENNY COMES TO THE KABARET!
LENNY KRAVITZ'
new album 'LENNY' was unveiled last night (Wednesday September 26) and NME.COM was there for the first ever playback at LONDON's KABARET CLUB.

'Lenny', due for release through Virgin Records on October 29, is Kravitz'
first studio album since 1998's '5', which featured the international hit singles 'Fly Away' and 'American Woman'. The guitarist's Greatest Hits album, released last year, sold eight million copies worldwide.

EMI, which owns Virgin, is pinning its hopes on 'Lenny' being a massive worldwide hit. The company saw its share value dip 35% this week.

'Lenny' was written and produced by Kravitz
in his own luxury studio, Roxie, in Miami.

NME.COM can confirm that the album is unlikely to disappoint the millions who have bought his earlier releases.

The 12-track album features Kravitz'
typical guitar sound, but it's also clear that he's been listening to modern R&B because 'Lenny' incorporates electronic beats and a modern production sound. In places, 'Lenny' is reminiscent of Michael Jackson, in others he harks back to his love of a 60s psychedelic feel on the slower songs.

The first single from the album will be 'Dig In', released on November 19.

Album track 'Bank Robber Man' is based on Kravitz'
recent scrape with the Miami police who mistakenly thought that he was, indeed, a suspected bank robber.

The confirmed track-listing is 'Battlefield Of Love' 'If I Could Fall In Love' 'Yesterday Is Gone (My Dear Kay)' 'Stillness Of Heart' 'Believe In Me' 'Pay To Play' 'A Million Miles Away' 'God Save Us All' 'Dig In''You Were In My Heart' 'Bank Robber Man' 'Let's Get High'.

The release of 'Lenny' will be followed by a worldwide tour in mid-2002.
