A host of acts turned up today (April 26) to launch the Love Music Hate Racism benefit gig in London’s Trafalgar Square.
Lethal Bizzle and The Specials' Jerry Dammers, the Roll Deep crew and The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster all made their presence felt in central London.
As previously revealed on NME.COM, the free gig takes place in Trafalgar Square on April 29.
Acts performing include Belle & Sebastian, Boy Kill Boy, Roll Deep and Lethal Bizzle. The gig takes place between 2 and 7pm.
There will also be a series of speakers.
The concert is being held to discourage support for the British National Party ahead of the local council elections on May 4.
On May 1, politically charged rockers Anti-flag will kick off the post-protest entertainment at Café 1001 on Brick Lane, with special appearances from MP George Galloway and DJ support from Carl Barat’s new band Dirty Pretty Things.
