CRUSTY GETS CANCELLED!
THE LEVELLERS have rescheduled forthcoming tour dates due to pressure of work in the studio.

The band, who have been working with Travis producer Mark Wallis at their own Metway studios in Brighton, have postponed gigs which were due to take place at Nottingham Rock City and University of East Anglia in June. The Nottingham date will now take place on July 29, preceded by a gig at Crawley Leisure Centre on the 27th. The UEA show will happen in November, date still to be confirmed.

A spokesperson said Wallis had been working The Levellers "like a slave-driver" and they were close to finishing the new material, which he described as "quite psychedelic, a little bit bluesy and still folky".

The first release will be a single, 'Happy Birthday Revolution', slated to come out on August 21. It will be followed by the as-yet untitled album on September 4.

The band are also planning a two-day festival at Ryde Arena on the Isle of Wight on September 1-3, with Howard Marks. Other acts are yet to be confirmed.
