SEEING LIAM IN A HOLE NEW LIGHT

LIAM GALLAGHER has written a track with Courtney Love that looks set for inclusion on the next Hole album.

According to www.hole.com, the pair worked on the song during Love's recent extended trip to London. The widow of Kurt Cobain was spotted in the company of the Oasis frontman during at least one night out in early August.

Love and her band are set to return to the studio in October to work on what will be their fourth album.

It has also been reported that Corey Parks of Nashville Pussy is being considered as the new Hole bass player - a replacement for Melissa Auf Der Maur, who departed to join Smashing Pumpkins almost a year ago.

Meanwhile, publishers HarperCollins have commissioned Love to write a "guidebook" on all aspects of the music business.

According the Hole website "Love hopes it will fundamentally serve as a kind of 'guidebook' for artists and those wanting a detailed and unrestricted account of the music industry, in all of its glory and shame".

No indication is given of when the book will appear in print.
