Lightspeed Champion to cover Cat Stevens at one-off London gig

Dev Hynes is set to perform songs from 'Harold And Maude'

Lightspeed Champion is set to play a one-off gig covering Cat Stevens songs this December.

The singer-songwriter, aka Dev Hynes, will play the Roots And Shoots event at London's BFI Southbank on December 11.

The gig will see Lightspeed Champion cover Cat Stevens songs from the soundtrack of Hal Ashby's 1971 film 'Harold And Maude'.

Stevens penned two songs, 'Don't Be Shy' and 'If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out', especially for the soundtrack to the film, which stars Ruth Gordon, Bud Cort and Vivian Pickles.

Lightspeed Champion's performance will follow a full screening of 'Harold And Maude'.

Tickets for the event are available from the BFI's website, Bfi.org.uk.
