Lightspeed Champion to release comeback single 'Marlene'

Dev Hynes covers Serge Gainsbourg on the b-side

Lightspeed Champion will release his new single early in the new year.

The first song to be released from his as-yet-untitled second album, 'Marlene', will be available from January 25 on 10 inch-vinyl and via digital download.

The release will feature three B-sides, on which Dev Hynes plays every single instrument himself.

As well as a concerto, there will also be a cover Serge Gainsbourg's '69 Année Erotique' which Hynes sings in French, accompanied by The Big Pink's Valentine Fillol-Cordier.

Hynes' version of Sharon Sheeley's '(He’s) The Great Imposter' will also feature on the release.
