Lil Wayne has been released from New York's Rikers Island prison, after serving eight months of his sentence on a gun charge.
The rapper was sentenced to a year in prison in March after pleading guilty to attempted weapon possession in relation to a gun being found on his tourbus. He was let out early for good behaviour.
Part of Lil Wayne's sentence was spent in solitary confinement after he was found to be in possession of headphones, therefore breaking prison rules.
Earlier this week, he wrote a letter from his cell thanking the likes of P Diddy for visiting him in prison, saying that he "never felt alone" while serving his sentence.
Lil Wayne is now said to be heading home to Miami.
