Lil Wayne has claimed that Justin Bieber sends him text messages every night to try and arrange a collaboration between the two of them.
The rapper told XXL magazine that the teenage pop sensation had been trying to persuade him that they should work together – but although Wayne described Bieber as “his little homie”, he revealed that he’d turned down his requests because he didn’t think a collaboration would be appropriate.
“That’s my little homie now,” he said when asked about Bieber. “He texts me every night asking me to do [his] damn song.
“That’s my nigga, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to fuck his shit up.”
Earlier this month, Wayne revealed that the release date for his album ’Tha Carter IV’ had been delayed again so he had more time to work on new material. Although the album was originally scheduled for release in May, and was then postponed until June, it will now be released on August 29.
