Lil Wayne is reportedly "recovering" in hospital following another seizure, according to his label's publicist.

Last night (March 15), US gossip website TMZ reported that the rapper was rushed back into hospital on Wednesday, just hours after being released following treatment for a previous seizure, and was now in a critical condition. Rumours then spread on Twitter saying the 30-year-old Young Money star was near death.

However, CNN has reported that a publicist for his Young Money label has confirmed to them that Wayne has had a seizure but was recovering in a Los Angeles hospital. A tweet from Lil Wayne's Twitter also contradicted rumours he was near death.

The tweet read:

Young Money president and friend of Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, also shot down the TMZ reports that Wayne was in a coma and on his deathbed. He tweeted: "Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern…he will update you all soon" and "We will be releasing an official statement shortly but don't believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!"

On Tuesday night (March 12), Lil Wayne was taken to the Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA after suffering from "multiple seizures" following a music video shoot in the Californian city. He was released on Wednesday before returning after suffering another collapse. The Young Money rapper is currently (March 16) still receiving treatment in hospital, and was visited by Drake last night.
