Lil Wayne has left hospital after spending six days in intensive care following a series of seizures.
The news, confirmed by Lil Wayne's publicist as well as his Young Money label chairman Mack Maine, follows a dramatic weekend in which the rapper was found in a critical condition and rushed into hospital. Rumours of Wayne's death had circulated online, however, a tweet from the rapper's Twitter account assured fans that he was still alive. The tweet read:
I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.

However, despite news of his death being exaggerated, Wayne did stay in intensive care until Monday evening (March 18). It is reported that he suffered a seizure on the set of a music video on Wedneday night (March 14) with many speculating that his love of the drink "sizzurp", a mixture of fizzy drinks, hard sweets and codeine, may have led to his ill health.
Tweeting about Wayne leaving the hospital on Monday night, Mack Maine wrote: "Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @liltunechi has been officially been released and is headed home....God is great".
