Lil' Wayne's rep deems third-time Rochester cancellation 'necessary'
Rapper's manager this time blames logistics
Lil’ Wayne’s manager has explained why a concert in Rochester, NY last night (January 21) was cancelled at the last minute, the third time the rapper has failed to perform there.
Lil’ Wayne previously cancelled shows at the Blue Cross Arena in the city on October 26 and December 6. Wayne reportedly began his performance on October 26 but left the stage halfway through as he was unhappy with the sound. The December 6 show was postponed to January 21, apparently due to mandatory tour rehearsals.
His manager Cortez Bryant told allhiphop.com that the reason for the cancellation last night was due to travel logistics.
“It would have been too difficult to travel with the entire band, then turn around and head to Calgary the next day. We didn’t want the Rochester fans to get any less of a show because of logistics. We wanted to deliver the same caliber show we’ve delivered along the tour.â€
According to Bryant, a rescheduled show will be included on the third leg of the tour, which runs through February and March.
