‘Smile’ keeps top spot for second week

NME cover star Lily Allen is at number one for the second week with ’Smile’.

The singer, whose album 'Alright Still' is released tomorrow (July 17), beat off competition from Shakira and Rogue Traders.

Other new entries on the chart include Richard Ashcroft at 40 with 'Words Just Get In The Way', mates of the Arctic Monkeys Milburn at 32 with 'Cheshire Cat Smile', Gnarls Barkley at 23 with 'Smiley Faces', Dirty Pretty Things at 20 with 'Deadwood' and James Dean Bradfield at 18 with his first solo single 'That’s No Way To Tell A Lie'.

The Top Ten is:

In the album chart, Thom Yorke scores his first Top 40 album solo entry at number three with 'The Eraser' and Muse remain at the top spot with 'Black Holes & Revelations'.
