Lily Allen alleges BRITs conspiracy

Lily Allen has said that there was a BRIT Awards conspiracy afoot this year.

The singer walked away empty handed from the award ceremony on Wednesday night (February 14), despite being nominated for three awards, as well as being initially shortlisted for Best British Single.

Speaking on the red carpet before the ceremony she told MTV News: “I already know I won’t win any awards. I bet £100 I’ll get nothing. The judging committee are all industry insiders.

“They’re predominately from Universal (Records)- and I’m on EMI. I think you’ll find that 70 per cent of the artists here tonight are on Universal. I’ll leave you with that."
