Reports suggest homesick singer will return to UK

Lily Allen's forthcoming US tour has been thrown into doubt amidst announcements of show cancellations and reports that the star is "homesick".

The singer axed a show on Thursday (April 12) in New York City, but she performed on ’The Today Show’ on the Friday (April 13).

Allen was then due to begin her US tour proper in May at Everett Events Center in Seattle on May 13.

However, owners of club First Avenue in Minneapolis, where the singer was due to play on May 24, said that the date is off and refunds were available for the gig at the point of purchase.

Her next scheduled appearance in the US is at the Coachella Festival in California on April 29, though it is current unclear if this will take place.

No official reason or confirmation of the cancellations has been given, reports Minneapolis’ Star Tribune, although newspaper reports in the UK suggest the singer is "homesick" and eager to return home early.

The dates believed to affected - and currently not listed on Lilyallenmusic.com - are:

Seattle, WA, Everett Events Center (May 13)
Los Angeles, CA, The Wiltern (15)
Tucson, AZ, Club Congress (16)
Phoenix, AZ, Marquee Theatre (17)
