Lily Allen blames Girls Aloud for controversial comments
Cheryl Cole's name-calling is singled out
As previously reported on myspace.com/lilymusic Allen compared herself to Amy Winehouse and was said the she was contemplating gastric bypass surgery.
Following the post over 1,000 fans responded with positive messages for the singer.
However, posting today (May 14) Allen apologised for the comments she made and added: “After reading Cheryl Tweedy (nee Cole)’s comments branding me a ’chick with a dick’ I was feeling pretty low... Cheryl if you’re reading this, I may not be as pretty as you but at least I write and SING my own songs without the aid of Autotune."
She added: "I must say taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying for you, your mother must be so proud, stupid bitch.”
Allen also attempted to explain her comments where she said she was “Fat, ugly and shitter than Winehouse”.
She said: “As for the Amy Winehouse bit, someone sent me a link to a picture blog where there were some paparazzi shots of my brother and there were hundreds of comments from mean, sad people, saying I was a fat, ugly bitch and how much better Amy is than I."
Previously, Allen recorded a track called ’Cheryl Tweedy’ which was the B-side to her 2006 UK Number One single ’Smile’. The song included the lyrics: “I wish I looked like Cheryl Tweedy.”
