Singer backs solar power campaign

Lily Allen has enjoyed the sun so much this week (May 19), sunbathing on Formula One boss Flavio Briatore's yacht in Cannes, that she is now backing a campaign to increase the use of solar power.

Allen, who has nearly completed her second album, is lobbying Members Of Parliament to encourage the use of solar energy by rewarding those who make use of the sun.

"I've experienced how green and clean renewable energy is," she told Lilyallenmusic.com. "I support giving people a financial reward for the power they generate."
