Lily Allen thanks police after friend's kidnap drama
The singer has written about a friend's ordeal

Lily Allen has thanked the police after they rescued a friend of hers from an alleged kidnapping incident.
A pal of the singer's was abducted in a Ladbroke Grove Sports Centre in west London by armed kidnappers, reports BBC News.
The friend, along with another man, was held hostage in Thamesmead for a week before being rescued by police on August 9.
"Thank you to the Met for getting my friend back," the singer wrote on the Lily Allen MySpace blog. We were all terrified and from what I hear you guys did an amazing job."
Five men have been charged with kidnapping offences following the incident.
