Lily Allen, Clash, Beck announced for War Child 'Heroes' album

Details of charity compilation are revealed

The tracklisting for the forthcoming War Child charity album, 'Heroes', has been announced.

The compilation, set for release on February 16, features artists including Lily Allen, The Kooks, Beck and Elbow covering songs by classic artists including David Bowie, The Clash and U2.

Money raised from the release will go to the charity, which helps children all over the world affected by war.

In a statement Guy Garvey of Elbow, who cover U2's 'Running To Stand Still' on the album, said, "War Child do exactly what it says on the tin. These kids shouldn't be in such circumstances in the first place, but they are, so thank god someone's doing something about it."
