Lily Allen to sell new album for a very low price Lily Allen Tickets

The singer almost pulls a Radiohead

Lily Allen has announced that she will sell her forthcoming album, 'It's Not Me, It's You', for a very low price for the first week of its release.

The singer has joined forces with MySpace Music and Amazon.com to sell the new CD for $3.99, down from the usual album price of $10-$20.

Her sophomore album is due out in the US on Tuesday (February 10) and will be available for that price until February 16, reports the Associated Press.

The strategy is reminiscent of the one Radiohead used in 2007 when they allowed listeners to choose how much to pay to download their new album 'In Rainbows'.

Meanwhile, the first single from the album, 'Everyone's At It', and other new tracks are currently streaming from Allen's MySpace page.

it's arrogant for her to give her music away so cheaply - she's got millions of pounds. it sends a weird message to younger bands who haven't done as well. you don't choose how cheap eggs are. why should it be different for music?

I'd have love to have seen Lily Allen let people pay what they thought was a reasonable price for her album! HAHA!

A fair price for her album would be for her record company to pay £9.99 in compensation to any poor fucker who's suffered the misfortune of hearing it

Loved Alright Still. Looking forward to this album very much. I'd happily pay the standard £10.

Liily Allen once complained about Radiohead's idea saying that it "de-valued music" so by giving her album away for a cheap price she's being quite hypercritical.
