Lily Allen has responded to rumours about her becoming a judge on The X Factor.

The singer suggested that despite the rumours that she's set to sign up for the series, no-one has actually got in touch with her about it.

The Daily Mail quoted an anonymous source from the show as saying that Allen and Take That's Gary Barlow were being lined up for the show alongside returning judges Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh.

However, Allen took to her Twitter page, Twitter.com/lilyroseallen, to dampen the rumours.

"Nice to know that I'm 80 per cent confirmed to be a judge on The X Factor, anyone thinking about running it by me?" she wrote.

She added: "I'll only do it if there's a 'pop songs in a foreign language' week."
