Lily Allen denies her clothes shop Lucy In Disguise is closing down

Singer says tabloid reports about store are 'deliberately misleading'

Lily Allen has angrily denied reports that her clothes shop Lucy In Disguise is set to close down.

The singer recently relocated the store from a premises in London's Covent Garden to a pop-up shop in nearby Carnaby Street.

Today's (July 17) Mail On Sunday claimed that the move is a "last ditch attempt" to save the business.

The newspaper also claimed that a lease for another permanent store had been signed.

Writing on her Twitter page, Twitter.com/MrsLRCooper, Allen described reports about Lucy In Disguise's closure as "deliberately misleading".

"Lucy in Disguise has NOT closed, it has moved to a temporary pop up on Lowndes st, before we move to our permanent premises," she wrote.

The singer later tweeted: "If any other publication wants to write deliberately misleading articles about Lucy in Disguise, feel free, I WILL sue you."

Allen opened the shop with half-sister Sarah Owen last year. It allows customers to rent out designer vintage clothing.

The store featured in a Channel 4 documentary about the singer, titled Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags, in March.

Allen, who recently married boyfriend Sam Cooper, has been on a break from music for the past couple of years.

She recently confirmed she is writing songs to accompany a new musical version of Bridget Jones' Diary, which will be heard "sometime next year".
