Lily Allen – or Lily Rose Cooper, as she now prefers to be known – made a surprise guest appearance at a Pink show in Los Angeles last night (August 21).

The 'So What' singer was recording an episode of VH1's Storytellers, which is due to air in November. Pink and Cooper performed their newly recorded duet, 'True Love'.

After the gig, Cooper told The Sun: "It was great, felt strange being back on stage again but Pink made me feel at ease. Really enjoyed myself though. Can't wait to get back out there."

Pink thanked Cooper on Twitter: “I filmed VH1 Storytellers last night – dream come true performance. Thanks Lily Rose Cooper... for joining me!!!!'

A 'source' told The Mirror that Pink and Cooper, both of whom have young daughters, were swapping notes on parenthood. Pink complimented Cooper on wearing heels five months into her pregnancy, reportedly telling Cooper, "I looked like a cheesecake at five months."

Cooper recently announced her intention to return to her pop career having 'retired' in 2009 to concentrate on parenthood, her record label and her fashion boutique. She is also working on a score for the forthcoming Bridget Jones musical

Cooper made a surprise appearance with rapper Professor Green at his support slot for The Stone Roses earlier this year.
