Lily Allen has returned to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart with her cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know'.

The track, which is hotly-tipped to be this year's Christmas Number One, can currently be heard soundtracking the new John Lewis' 'Beat And Hare' festive advert. 'Somewhere Only We Know' first reached the chart summit two weeks ago, reports the Official Charts Company.

One Direction are at Number Two in the chart with 'Story Of My Life', Bastille jump two spots to Number Three with 'Of The Night' and Calvin Harris drops three places to Number Four with 'Under Control. Gary Barlow's 'Let Me Go' completes this week's Top 5.

Elsewhere, Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is up 33 places to Number 14, while 'Fairytale Of New York' by The Pogues is at Number 16. And Mumford and Sons' 'I Will Wait' has re-entered the Official Singles Chart Top 40 following Luke Friend’s performance of it on last weekend’s X Factor.

In the Official UK Albums Chart, One Direction have held onto the Number One spot for a second consecutive week with 'Midnight Memories'. Robbie Williams' 'Swings Both Ways' is at Number Two, while his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow is at Number Three with 'Since I Saw You Last'.

Olly Murs is at Number Four with 'Right Place Right Time', and this week's Official UK Albums Chart Top 5 is completed by 'A Musical Affair' by Il Divo, their sixth consecutive Top 10 hit record.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears is new in at 34 with her new album 'Britney Jean', while Muse’s 'Live At Rome Olympic Stadium' enters at Number 36.
