Lily Allen hit out at MTV for requesting a censored version of the video for new single 'Our Time'.

The clip, released this week, sees Lily Allen playing multiple characters taking a cab ride around London. It shows her drinking, smoking and fighting.

Today (March 13), Allen posted an email from an unknown source detailing changes requested by MTV, as below, accompanied by the words "age of beige". She followed it with a tweet reading, "I thought MTV just played Catfish and My Super Sweet 16."

In a statement issued to NME, a spokesperson for MTV confirms that they elected not to play the video during the daytime.

The statement reads: "MTV took the decision not to play Lily’s current video during daytime as we felt some of the content was unsuitable for our younger audiences. MTV are broadcasting the video post 7pm on our channels and will also be running it on MTV love Lily Allen and are showing On Set With… Lily Allen at 10pm tonight on MTV Music."

'Our Time' is the third single taken from Allen's forthcoming album 'Sheezus', following 'Hard Out Here' and 'Air Balloon'.

'Sheezus' is expected to be released on May 5. See the full tracklisting below.
