Lily Allen is on course for her second Number One album with her latest effort 'Sheezus' – she's 12,000 sales ahead of nearest rival Paolo Nutini at the midweek stage.

Official Chart Company data reveals that 'Sheezus' is ahead of Nutini's 'Caustic Love', which has been Number One for the past two weeks. The final chart will be revealed on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday (May 11).

There are nine other new entries on this week’s Official Albums Chart Update with Black Stone Cherry's latest album 'Magic Mountain' at Number Four. Elsewhere, The Horrors are set to return to the Top 10 with 'Luminous' at Number Six at the midway stage. The Horrors' last album 'Skying' peaked at Number Five in July 2011.

Meanwhile, other new entries are due from Anastacia (8), Ray LaMontagne (12), Gruff Rhys (18), Natalie Merchant (24), Michael Boltopn (26) and Dutch metal band Epica (33). Brian Eno and Underworld vocalist Karl Hyde round off the new entries with their album 'Someday World' debuting at Number 36.

In the Official Singles Chart, Mr Probz is currently Number One, returning to the top spot after slipping one place to Calvin Harris' current chart-topper 'Summer' last week. As it stands, the Dutch musician is back at Number One with 'Waves.'

Other new entries in this week's Singles Chart at the midweek point come from Pitbull (6) and Foxes (11). Today's highest climber is Gary Barlow's 'Let Me Go', which jumps 53 places from Number 74 to 21, following his appearance on the BBC documentary, When Corden Met Barlow, which aired earlier this week.
