Lily Allen is to support Miley Cyrus on an upcoming tour of the USA.

Allen will join the 'Bangerz' tour for seven dates in August, opening the show for Cyrus in Uniondale, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Nashville, Louisville and St Louis between August 1-10. The British pop star will follow the support slot with her own headline dates in America immediately after.

Allen played Glastonbury festival last weekend (June 27). During her set she told the crowd she had been worried about the Saturday evening booking in case it clashed with an England game, but that it didn't matter since the team crashed out of the World Cup. "Not only because we are shit, but also because there's a bit of corruption going on," she said. She dedicated 'Fuck You' to FIFA president Sepp Blatter, who she described as "one of the most corrupt, well not most corrupt, but most annoyingly corrupt people, the cunt."

Allen starts a tour of mainland Europe tomorrow (July 3), with her only scheduled UK shows happening at V Festival in August. Her own US tour is scheduled to begin in Miami, Florida on September 9.
