Lily Allen has blamed her record company, EMI, for the delay of the release of her forthcoming second album, tentatively titled 'Stuck On The Naughty Step'.

Allen recently completed work on the album, although writing on the Lily Allen MySpace blog, the London-based singer said she didn't know when she would be able to release it.

"The album – it has been finished for a while now," she wrote. "I don't really know what's going on with it.

"The record industry is a very political place at the moment and I am on EMI records, lots of people have been fired or have taken redundancy recently as the company was taken over by a private equity firm called Terra Firma.

"Many of these people were people assigned to my projects and now I don't quite know what's going on. I'm sure everyone will find their feet soon enough and I'll be able to put the album out soon."

A song destined for the album, 'Fuck You Very Much', recently leaked online. Listen to it by clicking on the video below.
