Limp Bizkit return to Leeds Festival after 10 years

Rap-metal veterans rock the Main Stage

Limp Bizkit return to Leeds Festival after 10 years
Limp Bizkit returned to Leeds Festival this afternoon (August 28) after a 10-year absence.

The rap-metal veterans marked their return to the bash by bursting into their rocked-up version of George Michael's hit 'Faith' at the end of their set, after frontman Fred Durst urged any guys in the crowd to lift their girlfriends on their shoulders. Limp Bizkit originally covered the song on their 1997 debut album, 'Three Dollar Bill, Yall$'.

The band drew a massive crowd to the Main Stage as they rolled through hits from their back catalogue.

Arriving onstage to a backing tape of Doris Day's 'Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be') the band dived straight into 'Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)' from their 2000 album 'Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water'.

Before 'My Generation', Durst, who was dressed in a green Boston Celtics basketball top and fluffy white hat, shouted, "Hello, it's looking kind of crazy out there. Show me what you got."

The singer also gave several shout-outs to Cypress Hill, who were up next, before promising the crowd he would give the rappers a note saying, "You motherfucking guys rock."

During 'Livin' It Up' Durst sat on the stage barrier and rapped into the crowd in scenes reminiscent to the band's last appearance at the festival a decade ago.

Limp Bizkit later received huge cheers when they burst into Mission: Impossible II theme 'Take A Look Around'.

They left the stage to the theme from Benny Hill's TV show.

Limp Bizkit played:

'Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)'
'My Generation'
'Livin' It Up'
'Eat You Alive'
'My Way'
'Break Stuff'
'Take A Look Around'
'Faith'
