Wes Borland parts company "amicably" with Limp Bizkit

WES BORLAND QUITS LIMP BIZKIT

LIMP BIZKIT guitarist WES BORLAND has quit the group, NME.COM can report.

The split is amicable according to an official statement by the US nu-metal band's management. The statement from the Firm, which was posted on the band's official site limpbizkit.com, said: "Both Limp Bizkit and Wes Borland will continue to pursue their respective musical careers. Both wish each other the best of luck in all future endeavors."

Limp Bizkit will still release their planned remix album in December. But it is unclear who will play guitar on the band's next studio album.

Borland, who usually wears face and body paint when playing with the band, released a solo album in February under the name Big Dumb Face. He had been with Limp Bizkit since the band was formed in Jacksonville, Florida by frontman Fred Durst in 1994.

Borland has previously spent time away from the group, only to re-join later. It has been previously reported that the guitarist and Durst have disagreed on the band's direction.
