Linkin Park have cancelled their previously-scheduled tour of China and Taiwan because singer Chester Bennington has sustained a back injury.
According to a statement on Linkinpark.com the singer is under doctor's orders not to travel or engage in physical activities. As a result the band have cancelled five live dates in the country.
The gigs had been organised to raise money for those affected by the earthquake that struck the Chinese province of Sichuan in May.
Linkin Park explained in a statement that concert promoters and the band had made a donation to the cause to compensate for the loss of money that would have been raised through ticket sales.
The cancelled Linkin Park tour dates are:
Shanghai Stadium (October 12)
Wuhan Xinhua Stadium (15)
Taipei Soccer Stadium (17)
Beijing Workers Stadium (19)
Macau Cotai Arena, The Venetian (12)
