Linkin Park wrap up opening Day of Sonisphere festival
Plus Coheed And Cambria are delayed in ferry drama
The band dipped into their back catalogue to perform the likes of 'Crawling', 'Numb' and 'In The End' during a set which also saw singer Chester Bennington play tracks from his side project Dead By Sunrise.
Earlier, Skindred, whipped up the crowd at Knebworth House, who turned out in their droves to catch the Welsh four-piece.
During their performance lead singer, Benji Webb joked, "You can download all the music in the world but you can't download this (set)."
The event also saw the controversial inclusion of long-departed Anthrax
vocalist John Bush who took to the stage with his former band mates for a one-off show, after it was revealed the group's previous singer had quit the band on the eve of the performance.
Coheed And Cambria meanwhile took to the stage late, having missed their ferry to the UK, but eventually played a storming set in the Bohemia tent after Fact replaced them for their earlier performance on the main stage.
Wildhearts later wrapped up the night in the Bohemia tent.
