Linkin Park and 30 Seconds To Mars have announced details of a joint US tour – watch a trailer for it below.

The two bands will hit the road this summer on what they have dubbed the Carnivores Tour. They will be joined special guest act AFI.

As Billboard reports, the 25-date tour kicks off on August 8 in West Palm Beach, and will also call in Tampa, Chicago, Houston and Denver, among other cities across North America. Carnivores stops at the Hollywood Bowl on September 15 and will conclude on September 19 in Concord, California.

Yesterday (March 4), it was announced that Linkin Park and Jay-Z will reissue their 2004 album 'Collision Course' for this year's Record Store Day.

The joint album, which saw the nu-metal band's songs mashed up with Jay Z raps, will be reissued on blue vinyl for the special occasion, which this year falls on April 19. The 10th anniversary reissue will also include a DVD of the joint tour both acts embarked on following the release of the album.

Jay Z and Linkin Park are the latest artists to reveal their own Record Store Day plans with Green Day revealing last week that they plan to release a compilation of demos from the recording sessions of their last album. Meanwhile, LCD Soundsystem will release a recording of their last ever live show on vinyl.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park, who are currently working on a new album, have been named as one of the headline acts for Download Festival 2014, with the band set to perform their 2000 album 'Hybrid Theory' in full at the event.

Festival organiser Andy Copping confirmed that the US metal band will be headline the Saturday night at Download Festival next year. Joining them on the bill will be special guests Fall Out Boy. They join Friday night headliners Avenged Sevenfold and Aerosmith, who will close the Donington festival.
