CARTER THE UNSTOPPABLE GROOVE MACHINE

Lionrock and Deadly Avenger have remixed Roy Budd's theme for classic Britpulp thriller Get Carter which was reissued on Friday.

The soundtrack was actually released last year, though there has been a lot of interest spurred by the reissue of the film as well as the Campari ad (featuring Jimmy Pursey).

The film score - a blend of sleazy jazz and early electronics - has weathered almost as well as the movie itself and various bands including The Flaming Stars have played the 'Get Carter' theme in their sets.

The remixes are released by Cinephile on July 12.
